A trade account for businesses that buy sheet regularly
If you order plastic sheet every week or two, paying for each order by card soon gets in the way. A FIDAR business account puts your orders on one set of terms instead: you order online as usual, choose on account at checkout, and your accounts team pays the invoices on NET 15 or NET 30.
It covers everything we sell, from full sheets of acrylic sheet, ACM panels, PVC foam board and polycarbonate to parts made in our cut-to-size configurator and laser cutting work.
- Sign shops and printers
- Fabricators and machine shops

Not sure your registration is in order? You can look up any Canadian business in Canada's Business Registries, one of the searches we use.
What you need to apply for NET 30 terms
- Your legal business name, address and phone number
- Your 9-digit CRA business number, and your corporation number if you are incorporated
- Your GST/HST number, if you are registered
- Who should receive invoices, and their email address
- 2 or 3 trade references: suppliers you already buy from on terms
- The terms you would like (NET 15 or NET 30) and the credit limit you want to ask for
You can ask for a credit limit from $500 to $250,000. Above $10,000 we also ask for your latest year-end financial statements. Anything you upload is stored privately and only our credit team can open it.
You sign a short credit agreement as part of the application, and a copy is emailed to you. It states the interest on overdue balances as both a monthly and a yearly rate, as Canada's Interest Act requires.
Trade account and NET 30 questions
What is a trade account?
A trade account lets a business buy now and pay the invoice later, on agreed terms. At FIDAR an approved account orders online on NET 15 or NET 30 up to a credit limit, and some accounts are also given trade pricing on regular-priced stock. Invoices, reminders and a monthly statement go to your accounts payable team.
Who can apply for a business account?
Any Canadian business: corporations, partnerships and sole proprietors, from sign shops and fabricators to contractors, designers and manufacturers. You need a CRA business number and two trade references. New businesses are welcome to apply.
Do you offer NET 30 terms?
Yes. Approved business accounts buy on NET 30, or NET 15 if you prefer, up to a credit limit set for the account. NET 60 is offered to accounts that have shown a steady payment record, rather than applied for.
How long does approval take?
The application takes about five minutes online. We check the business registry and your trade references, and usually reply by email within two business days.
What credit limit can I ask for?
You can ask for anything from $500 to $250,000. For a limit over $10,000 we also ask for your most recent year-end financial statements, which you upload securely from your account. New customers usually start lower and move up with a good payment record.
Is there a fee to open an account?
No. Applying is free, and so is the account. You can still pay by card whenever you like.
How does the trade discount work?
Trade pricing is set for each account when it is approved. If your account has a trade discount, it comes off every regular-priced item at checkout automatically, before tax. Items already on sale keep their sale price, and delivery is not discounted.
What happens if an invoice is paid late?
We email a reminder before each invoice is due and again if it goes past due. While an invoice is overdue, new orders on account are paused; card orders are not affected. Overdue balances can bear interest at 1.5% per month (19.56% per year), as set out in the credit agreement you sign.
How do I earn NET 60?
After 6 months on NET 30, with at least 6 invoices paid, an average within 5 days of the due date and nothing ever 60 or more days overdue, your account is put forward for NET 60 and we confirm it with you.
